Chef Heath Cates has prepared a distinctively Okanagan flavour menu
Heath Cates – Executive Chef

“Inspired at a very young age by his mothers’ passion for food Chef Cates enrolled in the culinary arts Program at The Okanagan College in Kelowna. Graduating with honors, he was in search of a challenge and moved to Vancouver. He began his apprenticeship at Brix and Rain City grill, finishing his third year at C restaurant and Glowbal. He carried on working at Glowbal Grill and Sauté Bar and after four years was the executive chef at Sanafir restaurant. He experienced a wide range of knowledge in a variety of cuisines ranging from Asian, French and Italian. He spent time with Joe Fortes and was part of the opening team for Goldfish Pacific Kitchen. His sweet tooth helped him develop the dessert menu and keen eye for elegant plates.
In 2008 he was drawn back to the Okanagan by the excitement of fresh ingredients and his family. ”

Ryan joined the food and beverage team at the Harvest Golf Club in May 2006 and became the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager in August 2007. Promoted to Food and Beverage Manager at the start of the 2010 season, Ryan brings a combination of over 13 years of experience in the food and beverage and golf industry.
