Finlay was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He turned professional at the age of 21 in the year 2000, beginning his career at the prestigious Royal Winchester Golf Club in Hampshire, England. Once Finlay acquired his full PGA status in 2004 he began to focus on teaching. The following year, Finlay moved to one of greater London's busiest and most popular driving ranges to run their academy. There he quickly established himself coaching a European Tour player and helping another player gain a spot on the 2009 Walker Cup team and then his European Tour card a year later.
Finlay is extremely adaptable as a coach and as a consequence of this he achieves great results with all types of golfers. He works three or four steps ahead at all times - an ability that comes with the experience of coaching many different golfers.
Now at the Harvest since 2015, Finlay is looking to build something special at our academy. Together Finlay and Sean have a very comparable view of the golf swing but also the game itself and look forward to growing our academy in every aspect.
You will find Finlay often on the range working on his own game as he still plays a very competitive schedule. He was the Interior PGA Order of Merit winner in 2015 and 2016 and has won 18 tournaments professionally.
At 7,109 yards, The Harvest is a championship-length layout designed by renowned Canadian golf course architect Graham Cooke. The name of our club is inspired by the many fruit trees that still dot the course and add to its splendor and a-peal - pun intended!
Enjoy a round of golf on our renowned course, practice your skill at the Okanagan’s largest and best practice facility, take part in our golf academy, receive lessons from our PGA pros or join of our many leagues to start playing!
