Over the last couple years, the major advancements in technology has shifted from the club in our hands to the shoes on your feet. Golf shoe manufacturers have made great strides in the fit, support, style and performance with golf shoes that they are now considered equipment rather than just footwear. When it comes to golf shoes, we are always looking for something new, exciting, fashionable and functional. So when GEOX entered the golf market, we got excited. GEOX is an italian based shoe company that was started in 1995 and has quickly become one of the largest shoe manufacturers in the world. GEOX is known for their collection of casual and dress shoes that combine a revolutionary breathable and waterproof technology with Italian style.

Geox_sula_295129aThe GEOX revolution has been made possible after extensive research and development of patented membrane, made of a special micro-porous material which absorbs sweat through the insole and lets it out in the form of water vapour. This process is made possible as the membrane`s micro-pores are larger than water vapour molecules, but smaller than water droplets – hence keeping water out and the feet dry. GEOX has combined this material with a aluminum mesh on the bottom on the sole to produce their NET system. The benefit is a golf shoe that lets heat escape while keeping your feet dry.

These shoes are extremely comfortable, although being a european shoe they do not come in widths, so if you have wide feet, you may find a tougher fit. The support is among some of the best shoes on the market and the style is definitely euro, among the likes of Ecco and Puma.

Due to the NET system, the sole is a little bulky and you feel higher off the ground. Opposite to some other brands who have been working to get you lower and lower to the ground. In fact, some Professionals have proclaimed if they could put spikes in their feet they’d never wear shoes.

If you can get by the thicker base of the GEOX shoe, the benefits of cooler feet with a 2 year waterproof warranty outweigh any cons. Available in Men’s and Women’s styles at The Harvest Golf shop starting at $169.00
